In 1991, Greenstem Productions, Inc. was established to produce films which touch thoughts and feelings within an audience. Giving opportunities for new and independent writers and directors with the chance to make their films, is also the goal of the company. The company has stayed true to finding that talent with the screenplays and their writers.

The one belief that the company stands by is the tradition of learning from the very best professional talent behind the scenes. Placing productions with new talent and highly experienced pros to create the best possible production value. Greenstem melds the ideas and goals of new filmmakers with Oscar®, Emmy® and Grammy® winners and nominees in all aspects of filmmaking.

In the first year of the company's existence, it produced a full-length feature called "Blade" (not to be confused with the 1998 Wesley Snipes vampire movie.) In 1993, Greenstem completed the award-winning thirty-minute short subject film "Last Sunday Morning," in association with Alberon Productions.

Continually creating new ventures, the company developed its first television series "Four Corners," a one hour family drama during 1994-95. The series is under consideration with several major networks.

1995 also brought on another new venue with Greenstem Productions forming its sister companies eh' dasse and As Long as the Grass... A Native American Multimedia Company. The companies are currently producing a three-part series concerning the removal of Native Americans from their homelands. The first series to be produced: "First Nations Removed" regards the Removal Act of 1830 and the Woodland Tribes.

Julia produced the award-winning "The Disturbance at Dinner," which was under Academy Awards® consideration in 1998.

The last year of the century, 1999, marked the completion of the feature film "Foreign Correspondents" by Mark Tapio Kines. The feature is just entering the film festival circuit where it is racking up awards, terrific reviews and enormous buzz thanks to television and print pieces.

Greenstem and Cassava films has completed principle photography June 2002 on Mark Tapio Kines second feature "Claustrophobia".

In 2002, Greenstem has an number of exciting projects that have been greenlit and will begin production shortly.
