Laurie earned a BFA in film production at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
She worked in New York and San Francisco on music videos, commercials
and features as an assistant, production coordinator and script
supervisor. She also managed production, developed concepts and
contributed to scripts for promotional and entertainment videos. She
wrote, produced and directed a thirty minute comedy FAMILY VALUES IN THE
GODDESS YEARS. The script was a finalist in the Aperture competition
and the film has shown in Berlin, New York and San Francisco. She has
written several feature screenplays and twenty short stories, several
were Writer’s Network quarterly-finalists. She currently assists art
critic Edward Goldman in writing radio show ART TALK on KCRW in Los Angeles.
